Many individuals prefer to postpone the purchase of any insurance until such time as that they have dependents. It is important to ask yourself if anyone will suffer financially if you were to die or become disabled. It would be unwise to delay purchasing insurance.
The Viva Life Education Cover provides a yearly payment equal to the Cover Amount in the event that you pass away or become permanently disabled. In the event that the child beneficiary passes away, the product will provide the funeral cover amount of R2 500.
Cover begins once your application has been approved by the insurance company and your first premium due, has been paid.
Should you miss a payment for any reason, we will collect a double debit order the following month for up to a maximum of 3 months. If your policy lapse and you would like to reinstate and resume payments, waiting periods would reapply.
The proceeds from an insurance policy are not taxable because of their nature. The proceeds are of a capital nature and are therefore not taxable as income. Your beneficiary can receive payment within 48 hours of the claim. Promptness of payment is dependent on the correct documentation being supplied to us.
